Pass Lake West Trail

Distance: 4 miles (out and back)

Difficulty: 3

Begin either at the Pass Lake parking lot or from the Rosario Road trailhead shown on map below.  The trail follows old roadways, fire-roads and logging roads for much of the route.  Although this trail is one of the very few in the northern half of the park, it only begins to show what lies in the parklands beyond.  Along the way you will see separate and mixed stands of deciduous and evergreen conifer trees including some in clear progression from mature alder to developing fir.  If you look closely (and very carefully) along side trail opportunities in the spring you'll find wildflowers including nodding onion and various local varieties of small orchids and lilies.
